Make the most out of life

Have you ever tried visualization?
Not just the imagine it and it will manifest itself, but more like it is written, "For everyone who keeps asking receives; he who keeps seeking finds; and to him who keeps knocking, the door will be opened," (Matt. 7:8 CJB). However, you have to be specific by keeping in mind exactly what it is you are asking for.
My mother once said that if I were looking for some particular traits in a man, I should make a list of what those things are. So I sat down and thought about it. I wrote a list of about 30 different traits such as height, fitness level, education level, economic status, personality traits and quirks I find appealing, and safe, etc. I taped this to the mirror in my room and faithfully read this list every morning, evening, and quite often throughout the day. It was only a week or two later I met a man that fit every trait on my list and he was as interested in me as I was in him. Granted, I didn't think of everything, and he had some quirks that ultimately ended our relationship after about 9 months, but I learned four very important lessons.
There is no scarcity of any good thing in the heavens, on earth, in the waters, or in the hearts of those who seek good and shun evil. All goodness is far more abundant than we can receive or even accept intellectually. It is woven through the fabric of creation itself.
We have a shallow understanding of who we were created to become, what we want, and even less of a grasp of what we need.
Gaining a clarity of focus on what you desire will bring it into your life, for better or for worse. Remember though, each experience is either a blessing, or a lesson to bring you a blessing in the future (given you survive the lesson).
Therefore, be careful what you wish for because if you do this you will get it.
